- Several of the colors dry matte
It doesn't say this anywhere, but don't be surprised if it happens sometimes.
Generally, most of the other nail polishes have a label on the bottle telling you what kind of finish it dries to. Check the Julie nail polish bottle when you get it,
- Chipping after 3-5 days
The nail polish stays on for 3-5 days on average before chipping occurs. Remember to use a high-quality top coat from CND or OPI to extend its lifetime.
- A little streaky and gooey sometimes
To fix a streaky nail polish, don't apply any more nail color coat, use a matte top coat. Only after you apply the matte top coat should you continue with a color coat again.

I found Julie G nail polish to be on par with Wet N’ Wild I can buy at WalMart for 98 cents. I put the polish on in the evening, let it dry, topcoat, went to bed, got up the next morning, showered, and as I was drying my hair 2 nails already had huge chips in them. Since this was the second time painting my nails with Julie G, I thought I would try using thinner layers because it could have put too much on the first time. Even with less polish, it still chipped in less than 24 hours. All I can say is that I’m glad I bought the colors I did in a Ipsy sale – 3 bottles for $8 (2 colors and one top coat). Needless to say, while I really like the bright colors, I won’t be wasting any more money on this branch of polish myself.
I have used this polish and I agree that it has a very good staying power. And I type continually with genealogy and work with my hands in the yard. A VERY good product. nancy
