Glass Foot Tile (A Czech Glass Callus Remover Review)

Everyone knows that body needs a rest. So do the legs. They require even more attention. Uncomfortable shoes and high heels have a negative effect on our feet. Improper feet care can lead to cracks, which not only spoils the appearance of them but also can cause the future fungus and other feet diseases. This is why a Czech glass foot file or callus remover is needed.

For a long time, the only salvation for our feet has been a little piece of pumice - the porous stone, which, in magical way, was located in every bathroom. Nowadays, our legs and feet have a lot of different creams and lotions which are keeping them smooth and shine. But to be true, using only cosmetics won’t be enough for the perfect feet look. Our legs and feet will always need that "porous effect of friction".

Thank God, we are living in the 21st century and we don’t need to use a pumice stone to keep our feet smooth. Modern technologies created the glass foot file which will make your pedicure procedure more comfortable. If you want to know much more about glass foot files and its possibilities - keep reading!

The Types of Glass Foot Files

Like nails files, glass foot files have some differences. The main difference is the abrasive material on the surface of the file. Glass foot files have two kinds of abrasive material: glass and diamond. The both of them are easy in use, but the diamond abrasive surface would serve much longer.

Depending on the diameter of the abrasive mineral particles they are divided into large and small. Glass foot file, with large abrasive mineral particles, is used to remove very thick and rough skin. While small abrasive mineral particles are perfect for final polishing. Also, the structure of the abrasive surface affects the speed and quality of cleansing the skin of the foot.

To know which glass foot file has larger or smaller abrasive particles, you can use the special measuring unit - grit. The surface of the glass foot file with a large grain abrasive is typically about 80 grit, and a delicate fine-grained surface - 120-150 grit.

Why is a Glass Foot File better?

Glass foot file will perfectly suit for every woman, especially with sensitive skin. Diamond or glass abrasive surface gently and effectively cleans the skin and makes your feet soft and smooth. With glass foot file you’ll never traumatize the skin. Also, it is suitable for both dry and wet pedicure.

The huge advantage of glass foot file is that you can use it in different directions during the pedicure procedure. With porous stone, you are limited and can’t reach some skin areas near the toes.

The next pro of glass foot file is that it is very easy in disinfection. You can clean it under running warm water and it will be enough. While, porous stone, like many other feet callus removers, have pores in its structure. That’s mean all dead skin and bacteria get stuck into them. It takes a lot of time to clean it properly.

There is no universal advice on how to save the feet skin in perfect condition, but there is a universal pedicure file – glass foot file. To save a little time and save yourself from frustration, try to understand the basic principles of choosing the right feet file.

How to choose glass foot file?

At first, if you have sensitive skin, and you want to add a little bit of smoothness to your feet try glass foot file which has a lot of grit, approximately 150. And If you have some problems like cracks, the glass foot file with the 80 grid is your salvation.

Do you often scrape the heel? If your answer is yes, I’ll suggest you find wide glass foot file with a solid long curved handle. Sometimes after a rough grater, the skin needs a polish procedure. For this purpose, you need to have two different foot files. Or you can find one with two work surfaces.

If you need to scrape the toes, the perfect foot file will be long and thin. All of these glass foot files can be easily found at your local beauty store.

How to use glass foot file properly

If you want to have smooth and soft feet and heels, you can try my personal pedicure procedure at home:

1) Of course, you can polish dry feet with glass nail file. But it will be better if you make a warm or hot bath for feet for 10 minutes only. It will be useful to add any natural oil, and about 3 tablespoons of sea salt at this stage. Also, you can use the useful herbs like chamomile or calendula.

2) After 10-15 minutes, pull out the legs from the warm bath and wipe them with a towel. Do not wash the feet after the bath. It is known that salt helps retain moisture in the skin, as well as oil.

3) Thereafter, start the process of polishing your feet with glass foot file. For slightly rough skin, use foot file with a lot of grit. For heavily calloused areas with corns or calluses try a file with a low number of grit.

4) Note, that you want to get soft and silky heels and feet. That’s mean you need to remove only dead skin, without affecting healthy skin layer. Skin damage can entail new calluses and rough skin. Also, you shouldn’t use a glass foot file with a low number of grit with a steamed feet skin. This will lead to skin’s injury.

5) After polishing, apply some moisturizing lotion on your feet and legs.
