Hello and welcome to Broke My Nail! My name is Nathalie and I'm here to help you with everything related to nails.

If you are a new reader and want to get started on a manicure, check out my How To Page.

Broke My Nail was started in 2016 with the Goal of providing you with easy to understand nail advice. Personally, I get frustrated when I see people provide bad advice on other websites, so I will do my best to educate you in the proper ways of doing things!

I want this blog to be different and will be making a commitment to make sure that my advice can be followed by regular people with busy lives.

My Story

I grew up wanting to work in the fashion industry, however, things don't always work out how you want them too. It wasn't until after finishing my engineering degree and a few years of work that I decided to take the risk and to change careers.

I began doing nails, a few people complimented me on my work and I had multiple job offers at nail salons around the city. This part time job is now bringing in just about as much money as my previous career and it's letting me focus on more important things such as health and family.

When I give my clients a manicure it's slower than usual because I want to be as thorough as possible. Would you be happy with a bad manicure? At low-end nail salons, it's about speed to make as much money as you can in little time. However, for me, it's about quality.

It took me a while to get here, and I'm so grateful that I get a chance to share my insights with so many people.

Today's modern world is filled with low-quality products and knockoffs. These are causing health problems for many people.

Did you know?

Some nail salons use knock off products that are about a tenth of the price of the original brand.

There is so much information (and misinformation) out there regarding nail polish, we at Broke My Nail have set some clear principles that we strive to abide by.

This is so we can provide you with a single hub to get amazing advice and news without all the confusing nonsense you might find elsewhere.

What We Do

What We Don't Do
